Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – IDD/DBHDD Experience Preferred Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a solid background in providing care to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), particularly within the Georgia DBHDD system. The ideal candidate will possess clinical competence in managing the unique healthcare needs of the IDD population, including medication administration, health assessments, behavioral monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Also, they should have experience in administering injections and is comfortable working night shifts. Position Details: 2 Positions Available Position 1: Every Other Weekend (3 Positions Location: Atlanta, GA 30331/30324 Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour Schedule: EOW (Sat/Sun) 8AM-2PM/ 9AM-2PM Position 2: 3 Days/Week/EOW Location: Atlanta, GA 30324 Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour Working Hours: 3 Days/Week, EOW 3 Days A Week: (Tues, Wed, Fri) 8AM-2PM Every Other Weekend (Sat/Sun) 8AM- 2PM Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to individuals with IDD in accordance with person-centered care plans. Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed. Monitor health conditions and document changes in behavior, physical health, or symptoms. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and case managers in DBHDD-compliant environments. Ensure all care provided is in accordance with DBHDD standards, state regulations, and agency policies. Participate in training, ISP meetings, and support planning tailored to individuals with complex behavioral and medical needs. Qualifications: Current LPN license in the state of Georgia. 2+ years of experience working with the IDD population, preferably in a DBHDD-affiliated program. Familiarity with ISP documentation, behavior support plans, and DBHDD health & safety protocols. Strong interpersonal and observational skills.
