Position Summary

Our Quick Coupling Division is looking for an Assembly Team Lead to help keep the world moving. The Assembly Team Lead supports daily assembly operations by helping guide team members, providing training, and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role helps maintain quality standards, address production issues, support continuous improvement, and communicate with supervisors and support teams. The ideal candidate has assembly experience, strong communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to lead and work well with others.

Parker's Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants provide critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Data Processing.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Supervisor in providing support and direction with daily operations.
  • Train team members on assembly operations and documentation (ie. Set-ups, day-by-the-hour, etc.).
  • Maintain the current copy of the Training Matrix for all team members.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using problem solving tools, such as the A3 and 3 legged 5 why tools.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and investigate non-conformances.
  • Develop and deploy standardized work
  • Promote and enforces compliance of safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with safety incident investigations.
  • Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy
  • Assist Supervisors with employee reviews
  • Report out daily on any production attainment shortfalls.
  • Understand, interpret and train team members on the usage of Team Improvement Boards.
  • Perform daily/weekly standard work audits within each cell.
  • Assist Supervisor in adjusting manpower requirements to accommodate unscheduled absences of team member, including overtime requirements.
  • Lead team improvement activities with support from supervisor and plant management.
  • Assist supervisor in other administrative tasks as required.
  • Serve as the Liaison between Machinist, Secondary Ops and Assemblers to Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning and other support personnel.
  • Serve as the Go-To Person for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Issues throughout the operation.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of assembly experience preferred
  • 2 years previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred
  • Willing to attend job related continuous education
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Able to effectively work with people in a team environment
  • Possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
Pay:
  • Starting Hourly Wage - $25.11
  • Shift Rate - $2.00
