Job Description

Expectations:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Painter to join our coatings team. The Painter will be responsible for applying a variety of linings and coatings to steel pipe. This role involves operating painting equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring that all coatings meet the Victaulic's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel coatings, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and apply lining and coatings to steel pipe

• Surface clean steel pipe

• Apply protective coverings to areas of the pipe that should not be painted, such as threaded ends or areas requiring special protection.

• Operate painting machines, compressors, and other related equipment, adjusting settings to match the pipe's material and the desired finish.

• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the work area is secure from hazards such as flying debris or inhalation of dust particles.

• Perform routine maintenance on coatings equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure efficient operation.

• Set up and prepare the paint area, including arranging pipes, setting up scaffolding or supports, and securing the area for safe operation.

• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including logging the types of pipes blasted, duration of work, and any issues encountered during the process.

• Any other tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Bilingual is a plus

Computer literate

Attention to detail and committed to quality

Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods

Schedule: Full Time: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and occasionally Fridays

Pay: $19-21/hour
