Automatic Door Technician & Glazier

Flynn Group of Companies 

Summary: 

Install, service, and repair automatic doors, glass systems, and related hardware in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. Provide reliable customer service while ensuring safe, high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic sliding, swinging, revolving, and specialty door systems
  • Perform glazing work including storefronts, curtain walls, insulated units, tempered glass, and door lite replacements
  • Respond to 24‑hour emergency service calls on a rotating schedule, providing safe and efficient on‑site solutions
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and system upgrades
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hardware issues with accuracy
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Maintain detailed service reports, documentation, and customer communication
  • Uphold company standards for professionalism, safety, and workmanship

 Requirements:

  • Experience in construction, glazing, or door systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of automatic doors and low-voltage systems is an asset
  • Ability to read basic drawings/blueprints
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable with physical work, heights, and outdoor conditions
