Requirements & Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 3+ years of CNC Programming experience or 5+ years as an NC Machinist
  • Strong experience programming 2-axis through 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5 CAM and 3D modeling
  • Strong understanding of G & M Code
  • Knowledge of GD&T, machining processes, tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
  • Ability to support operators with setup and troubleshooting

Must Haves

  • Develop CNC programs from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Create standardized machining processes and setup documentation
  • Optimize tool paths, cycle times, chip removal, and tool life
  • Design machining fixtures to improve manufacturability
  • Evaluate cutting tools and document performance improvements
  • Troubleshoot machining issues alongside production teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve technical challenges

Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience programming high-precision manufacturing environments
  • Previous hands-on machining experience
  • Experience with fixture design
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement exposure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
