Our client, a global mining equipment manufacturer and repair organization, is seeking a Mechanic Assistant to join their team. As a Mechanic Assistant, you will be part of the Repair Operations team supporting the shop maintenance and equipment rebuild department. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanic Assistant
Location: Evans City, PA
Pay Range: $20.00- $25.00/hour (DOE)

What’s the Job?

• Assist an experienced mechanic with the repair and maintenance of mining equipment, including gearboxes, sprockets, and hydraulic components.
• Clean parts, perform equipment teardowns, and prepare components for inspection and assembly.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain basic work logs and support shop organization and safety initiatives.
• Operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment as needed to move materials and equipment.

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred; training and certification will be provided.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
