Location: UF Health Shands Hospital
Operating Rooms Oaks
1600 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:0am-4:30pm | 20hrs. per week
Employment Type: Part-Time

Responsibilities:
- Assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery.
- The technologist specialist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse.
- Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- AST certification required and AST or NCCT certification maintained.
- Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program
Licensure/Certification/Registration: AST certification, AST or NCCT recertification.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
