Your New Role
Prepare detailed project estimates using landscape, civil, and architectural plans
Perform quantity takeoffs and verify project information as needed
Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project logistics
Use Sage Estimating and digital takeoff software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar platforms
Request and evaluate vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals
Coordinate procurement planning and material buyouts
Identify scope gaps, project risks, exclusions, and long-lead materials
Support value engineering efforts and change order pricing
Maintain estimating records, pricing databases, templates, and documentation
Work closely with design, sales, procurement, and production teams to support successful project delivery
Assist with job costing and continuous improvement of estimating processes

5 to 7 or more years of estimating experience in landscape construction, sitework, or a related construction trade
Experience estimating residential or commercial construction projects
High-end residential landscape construction experience is preferred
Experience with digital estimating and quantity takeoff workflows
Proficiency with Sage Estimating is preferred
Experience using Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar software is preferred
Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE is a plus
Ability to read and interpret landscape, civil, and architectural plans and specifications
Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, project budgets, and procurement plans
Knowledge of landscape construction methods, sequencing, and material procurement
Understanding of hardscape, planting, grading, irrigation, drainage, lighting, trucking, and specialty subcontractor scopes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with solid time management and documentation skills
Ability to visit project sites when necessary
Reliable daily commute to the Far Hills, New Jersey office
