Full job description

Role Overview

Coordinates fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles to drive on-time development and delivery. Creates and revises Tech Packs for assigned styles while maintaining all appropriate development documentation including product specs and prototype notes. You’ll track and facilitate prototyping for styles across the technical design team.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, textile science, or related field (2+ years additional product creation experience may substitute)
  • Minimum 5+ years of technical design experience in apparel industry, including full development cycle from inception through production (pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing, quality)
  • Strong understanding of patterns and garment construction
  • Proven experience with fit sessions and prototype development
  • Tech pack creation and writing product specs/construction standards
  • Adobe Illustrator and CLO proficiency
  • Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions
  • Experience working with factory vendors on manufacturability
  • Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Desired Skills & Experience

  • CAD pattern design software (Optitex or similar)
  • Miro or PCX experience
  • Prior experience in performance/athletic apparel
  • MS Office proficiency
