Full job description

Our client, a leader in food chemistry testing, is seeking a Sample Prep Technician to join their team. As a Sample Prep Technician, you will be part of the Food Chemistry Testing Department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to ask questions, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sample Prep Technician

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Range: $19.00/hr plus shift differential ($20.71/hr)

Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm (12pm - 8:30pm)

What's the Job?

  • Perform a variety of sample preparation tasks to ensure sample homogeneity, including labeling, transferring, and weighing samples.
  • Communicate sample information and discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Handle internal customer inquiries and requests effectively.
  • Learn and apply critical thinking skills to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental goals.

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years working experience (not specific to industry)
  • Strong customer service skills, including attention to detail and effective communication.
  • Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain excellent attendance.
