The ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to work across editorial, social, presentations, and campaign design, and is eager to learn from senior creative leaders while contributing to work for some of the world's most interesting organizations.
Much of the work in this role centers on editorial design—reports, articles, presentations, and storytelling systems—while also contributing to social content, campaign extensions, and brand communications. You'll work closely with Design Directors, Creative Directors, writers, strategists, and producers to bring ideas to life across a variety of mediums.
This is a hybrid role (in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) in San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute thoughtful, high-quality design work across editorial projects, social media, presentations, and brand campaigns.
- Partner with Design Directors and Creative Directors to translate concepts into polished, production-ready creative.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of reports, long-form articles, visual storytelling systems, and other editorial experiences.
- Develop multiple design explorations and iterate thoughtfully based on feedback.
- Support campaign work through the creation of extensions and supporting assets across digital, social, and live-event channels.
- Collaborate closely with writers, strategists, editors, and producers to ensure work is clear, compelling, and well-crafted.
- Prepare files for production and coordinate with internal teams and external production partners as needed.
- Contribute to communications systems for, by, and about GDP across owned, social, and live-event platforms.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate ideation, generate reference materials, prototype quickly, and explore new creative possibilities while maintaining a high standard of craft.
- Stay curious about emerging trends in design, technology, and storytelling, bringing new ideas and references to the work.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in a design, branding, or marketing agency environment.
- A deep interest in design systems—including typography, photography, grid, color, and composition—and the ability to apply them consistently across a variety of touchpoints.
- Experience designing across multiple formats, including editorial, presentations, social media, and campaign assets.
- A passion for visual storytelling and an appreciation for the role design plays in helping people understand complex ideas.
- Highly collaborative, resourceful, and eager to learn from experienced creative leaders.
- A basic understanding of interaction design best practices when designing for digital environments.
- Demonstrated fluency with Figma as a primary design and prototyping tool, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Competency in Keynote and Google Workspace is a plus.
- Experience with AI creative tools, including image generation platforms and AI-assisted workflows, is preferred.
- An interest in technology, innovation, and B2B storytelling is a plus.
