The Senior Flex Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in San Diego, California. This full-time position involves engaging with patients and supporting licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans that enhance recovery and physical wellbeing. Work Environment
This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in San Diego, offering a well-equipped environment conducive to effective therapy sessions. The operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement therapy treatments as directed by the licensed Physical Therapist, which includes exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modality usage.
- Carefully monitor patient progress during treatment sessions, noting any changes in their condition and communicating these promptly to the supervising PT.
- Accurately document all therapy sessions in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Educate patients on their rehabilitation exercises and provide motivation throughout their treatment to enhance adherence and outcomes.
- Ensure all treatment equipment is safe, clean, and meticulously prepared for usage, contributing to the safety and comfort of all patients.
- Collaborate with the clinical team, including physical therapists and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient experiences and care continuity.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our center primarily serves older adults seeking rehabilitation following surgery, injury, or chronic illnesses. You will work closely with a diverse patient population who have a range of mobility challenges and rehabilitation goals. Your role is crucial in helping them achieve personal recovery milestones while fostering hope and confidence in their healing journey.
Qualifications
- An active and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
- A degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is necessary for eligibility.
- Certification in CPR/BLS is preferred, reflecting our commitment to patient safety and emergency preparedness.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
