Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Access Health Care Solutions, you will work directly in our rehabilitation hospital. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, where interdisciplinary communication with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists is key to effective patient outcomes. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional flexibility may be required to meet the dynamic needs of our patients and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing customized treatment plans for patients.
• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities designed to promote recovery and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients regarding effective body mechanics and exercise techniques to ensure safe and effective rehabilitation.
• Utilize various modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under licensed supervision.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting improvements and areas of focus to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is correctly organized and readily available before therapy sessions begin.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans and optimize patient rehabilitation outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a supportive and positive therapeutic atmosphere.
• Uphold ethical standards and ensure patient confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California.
• Thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques applicable to physical therapy.
• Proven skills in delivering therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for the Physical Therapist Assistant position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
