General Cardiologist
Assignment Details
• Locations: Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa
• Coverage Period: October 2026 December 2026 (ongoing coverage anticipated)
• Practice Setting: Hospital with potential ambulatory clinic coverage
• Coverage across four hospital locations
Compensation:
Orientation - $170/hr
Hourly - $345/hr
Holiday - $515/hr
Night Call - $935/shift
Holiday Night Call - $1,400 per 24 hours
Call Back - $345/hr
Holiday Call Back - $515/hr
Schedule
• Onsite Coverage: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Night Call: 4:30 PM 8:00 AM
• Night call is not required every night
• Candidates must specify their available coverage dates between October 1 and December 31, 2026
• Candidates must indicate the number of ongoing shifts they can provide each month
Clinical Details
• General Cardiology
• Procedures: Echocardiograms (ECHO) and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• EMR: Epic
• Hub-and-spoke coverage model across four hospitals
• Weekday inpatient rounding with APP support
• No APP support on weekends or during night call
• Average inpatient census: 5 8 patients at each campus
Night Call Details
• Covers all four hospital locations
• Low-volume call
• Most calls involve consults that are evaluated the following day
• Fellows provide first-call coverage at the academic medical center
• In-house APPs, Emergency Department physicians, and hospital medicine teams evaluate patients overnight
• Physicians rarely need to come onsite overnight

• ACLS and BLS certifications highly preferred
• DEA highly preferred
• Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred
Credentialing
• Approximately 90 days after completed application

• Candidates must acknowledge that night call responsibilities cover all four hospital locations.
• Candidates must provide their specific availability between October 1 and December 31, 2026 as part of submission.
