Front Desk Dental Administrator

Midtown Dental Group is looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Front Desk Dental Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in creating a great patient experience, and can stay organized in a busy dental office.

This is a patient-facing role that combines customer service, scheduling, insurance coordination, and administrative responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with doctors, dental assistants, hygienists, and the administrative team.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients warmly and provide an excellent front-desk experience
  • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and communicate professionally with patients
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Manage the daily schedule and help maintain an efficient patient flow
  • Review patient treatment plans and assist with scheduling recommended treatment
  • Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Review patient balances, collect payments, and provide accurate financial information
  • Present treatment fees and payment options to patients
  • Follow up with patients regarding outstanding treatment, appointments, and balances
  • Process insurance claims and assist with insurance-related patient questions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure patients are prepared for their appointments
  • Help reduce cancellations and open schedule time through effective patient communication and follow-up
  • Assist with recalls, reactivation, and patient retention efforts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk
  • Follow office policies and procedures, including HIPAA and patient privacy requirements
  • Work closely with the team to support the overall success of the practice

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous dental front desk or dental administrative experience preferred
  • Experience with Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, or similar dental software is a plus
  • Knowledge of dental insurance, eligibility, claims, and patient billing
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable learning new technology and office systems
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the larger team
