Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Schenectady, New York. The work environment is collaborative and dynamic, where you will engage with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation technology and resources, allowing you to implement the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a quality work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at BodySync PT, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering direct patient care according to the prescribed treatment plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring that each intervention aligns with the physician’s recommendations.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress notes and discharge summaries, adhering to departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Engaging in quality improvement activities, such as chart reviews, to enhance the efficacy of rehabilitation services.
  • Participating in family meetings and conferences, contributing insights regarding treatment plans and patient progress to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Executing therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, continuously monitoring patient responses and modifying approaches as necessary.
  • Responding appropriately to various patient scenarios, including emergencies, by implementing established protocols for safety and effective care delivery.
  • Performing related administrative duties that support the functioning of the physical therapy department, as requested.

The patients you will serve at BodySync PT primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications:

  • Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of New York.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and rehabilitation modalities.
