Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Bowling Green, KY. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in a long term acute care hospital setting. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and documentation accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program. Active Kentucky Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience assessing patient functioning, developing individualized treatment plans, completing timely documentation, and participating in interdisciplinary team processes. Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT/COTA students or willingness to supervise. Ability to participate in discharge planning, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment recommendations. Experience in acute care, long term acute care, or similar complex care settings is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with safe patient handling techniques and materials handling protocols. Experience working within quality improvement initiatives and compliance with safety policies.

Assignment Details

Shift Pattern: 5x8 day schedule.
