Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Nashville VA Medical Center

Salary Range: $330,000 - $370,000 per year
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Hours based on service needs)

The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS), a large and vibrant academic VA practice, is seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist to join our skilled team. Many of our physicians hold faculty appointments with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and we deliver both routine and complex clinical and surgical care to a growing Veteran population across Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and beyond.

Key Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Administration of general anesthesia (inhalation and intravenous), including invasive monitoring

• Administration of regional anesthesia (spinal, epidural, peripheral nerve blocks)

• Placement of venous and arterial catheters, with interpretation of pressures and waveforms

• Placement and interpretation of pulmonary artery catheters

• Airway management, including cricothyroidotomy

• Management of ventilator-dependent patients and one-lung ventilation

• Assessment, consultation, and preparation of patients for anesthesia
