Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios: Days 1:4, nights 1:5. Adult and pediatric patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. Common drips include electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics; hypertensive/hypotensive medications are not titrated, and continuously infusing diuretics are rare. Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment. Support staff includes 2 nurse aides on days and 1 nurse aide on nights. Pediatric patients are managed by an on-call pediatrician rather than a hospitalist. No vents on the unit; occasional BiPAP is primarily managed by RT. ICU monitors are used for telemetry; nurses apply telemetry to patients and read their own strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling. Weekends as needed. No holiday requirement. Orientation may include one day and one night shift if needed.

Floating Requirements: First to float. May float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed.

9 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
