Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.

Unit Details: Adult and pediatric patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. Patient ratios: Days 1:4, nights 1:5. Electrolyte replacement, hypertensive medications, and diuretics; do not titrate hypertensive/hypotensive medications, and continuous diuretic infusions are rare. Charge nurse takes an assignment. Pediatric patients are not managed by the hospitalist; a pediatrician is on call. No vents on the unit; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by RT. ICU monitors telemetry; Med Surg/Peds nurses apply telemetry to patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling. Weekends as needed. No holiday requirement.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed.
