Position Overview
Rebound Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Miami Gardens, Florida. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide vital patient care in a hospital setting, where you will play a key role in assisting licensed Physical Therapists in the delivery of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Work Environment
This position is onsite at our hospital facility, providing a collaborative atmosphere where healthcare professionals work closely together to support patient recovery. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and more, all committed to optimizing patient care outcomes. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our patients and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring correct techniques to promote effective recovery and pain relief.
- Educate patients on body mechanics and self-management strategies, including home exercise programs, to foster independence in their rehabilitation journey.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy with direct supervision from physical therapists.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, recording outcomes such as range of motion improvements, strength gains, and functional ability enhancements.
- Prepare treatment areas before sessions, maintaining an organized space and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
- Collaborate closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure coordinated care efforts and foster optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, creating a positive environment during their recovery process.
- Adhere to ethical standards and best practices, ensuring patient confidentiality, respect, and dignity are upheld at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and elderly patients aiming to regain mobility. Rebound Physical Therapy is dedicated to tailoring treatments that address the specific challenges faced by each demographic.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the therapeutic interventions used in physical therapy.
- Proven capacity to administer and modify therapeutic exercises and modalities, guided by licensed Physical Therapists.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits
