Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of experience preferred. Charge nurse experience preferred. Oncology skills helpful, but not necessary.

Special Requests: Block scheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Unit Details: Patient population includes adults >= 18 years of age. Equipment includes VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps. Common diagnoses include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF. The facility is described as a Level III trauma center, while the unit profile lists Trauma Level II.

Shift & Scheduling: Policy recommends that staff work at least 2 weekend shifts per month.

Floating Requirements: Floating is based on facility needs.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required
