Work Environment
This position is an onsite role located within a well-established hospital in Deerfield Beach. Our orthopedic clinic is a highly regarded outpatient facility, featuring advanced therapy areas designed for various therapeutic modalities. The work hours are weekdays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients in executing their individualized treatment plans by guiding them through prescribed therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor patient progress, collecting data on treatment outcomes, and report findings to supervising physical therapists.
- Maintain an organized and sanitary therapy environment, ensuring all areas are equipped and ready for efficient use.
- Support scheduling and administrative tasks, including coordinating patient appointments and handling basic clerical duties.
- Engage in patient assessments focusing on balance and coordination to help develop tailored intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to modify treatment plans based on patient feedback and progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The PTA will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. The role demands a compassionate approach to care, as patients often seek timely recovery and improvement in daily functional activities. Your contributions will directly enhance their mobility and reduce pain, substantially affecting their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current Florida PTA license.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with preference given to candidates familiar with WebPT.
- Experience in manual therapy techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to demonstrate clinical awareness and empathy toward patients.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy is highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits
