We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at the Progressive Rehabilitation Center, an orthopedic outpatient clinic located in the sunny Palm Beach, Florida. Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our hospital-based clinic, where you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule that promotes your personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide patients through individualized treatment exercises that align with their therapeutic goals, ensuring proper techniques to enhance effectiveness and safety.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, tracking outcomes systematically to report findings to supervising physical therapists, helping refine treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized and sanitary therapy space, ensuring that all equipment is clean, functional, and readily accessible for patient use.
  • Assist with routine administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and contributing to a seamless workflow within the clinic.
  • Participate actively in assessments focusing on balance and coordination, providing crucial insights that aid in developing tailored treatment strategies for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily engage with orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitation services following surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Our patient population ranges from athletes recovering from sports injuries to adults seeking relief from conditions such as arthritis or post-operative recovery. Your role will be instrumental in guiding patients on their journey to recovery, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in an outpatient therapy setting.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.
  • Experience in manual therapy techniques is encouraged.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills alongside clinical proficiency to foster trusting relationships with patients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with a background in sports rehabilitation or experience working with a variety of orthopedic conditions will find themselves well-suited for this position. Additionally, those who are adept at utilizing standardized assessment tools for evaluating physical function will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your expertise and contribution, we offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
