Full job description
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related equipment issues on production and converting machinery.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair facility utility systems, including boilers, steam generation equipment, condensate return systems, and steam distribution networks.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain building systems and support facility improvement projects as needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, making safety the highest priority in every task performed.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and plant performance goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical diploma, or equivalent practical experience required.
- Two (2) or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and steam systems.
- Knowledge of boiler operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and strong communication skills required.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safe work practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
