Pro Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Torrance, California. Work Environment
The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional needed flexibility to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the execution of tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and stretches under direct supervision, focusing on pain management and physical well-being.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and effective exercise techniques to support ongoing recovery efforts.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatment protocols.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
- Prepare treatment areas by sanitizing equipment and organizing necessary supplies, ensuring a conducive environment for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care strategies that benefit overall patient outcomes and experiences.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive atmosphere that motivates patients during their rehabilitation processes.
