Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite at various ALFs in Englewood, New Jersey, thus eliminating the stress of clinic environments. Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by licensed Physical Therapists, focusing primarily on orthopedic recovery and mobility enhancement for residents.
• Provide patient care with an emphasis on empathy and attention to detail, always adhering to the highest clinical standards.
• Track and document patient progress and responses to treatment, utilizing a user-friendly mobile electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
• Work cohesively within an interdisciplinary team to guarantee coordinated and effective care across different healthcare professionals.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with residents, their caregivers, and facility staff to foster a supportive environment conducive to recovery.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and optimize rehabilitation techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This PTA position specifically supports the geriatric population residing in assisted living facilities. Our residents often face mobility challenges and require rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions. You will provide tailored care that caters to individual needs, helping each resident develop a personal rehabilitation journey that promotes strength, independence, and an improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is essential for consideration.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with senior populations.
• Proficient time management and organizational abilities, capable of managing a caseload independently while contributing to a team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively share information with both patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
