Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2390 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with surgical patients.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. If previously employed by Sanford Health, the employment must have ended at least 6 months before submission.

Unit Details: Patient population includes complex general medical cases involving acute and chronic renal failure, hypertension, diabetes, head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer, heart failure, chronic wounds, paraplegia or quadriplegia, as well as kidney transplant recipients and living donors. The unit includes an outpatient infusion room for new kidney transplant patients receiving infusions after discharge. Equipment includes PCA and epidural pumps and telemetry monitoring.

Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotating shifts. Every other weekend and holiday.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
