About Pit Shop Auto Repair

Pit Shop Auto Repair is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician in Libertyville, IL, offering $36–$60 per flagged hour with a 30-hour weekly guarantee. This Monday–Friday opportunity includes weekly pay, advanced diagnostic equipment, and dedicated company training. Parts ordering is handled by the Parts Manager or Service Advisor, allowing technicians to stay focused on diagnostics and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Perform general automotive maintenance and repairs
• Complete repairs independently based on skill level
• Perform vehicle inspections and Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
• Document vehicle findings and recommended repairs accurately
• Maintain repair quality while working efficiently in a flat-rate environment
• Communicate repair findings with the service team
• Follow established shop procedures and workflow

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• B-Level Automotive Technician experience
• Strong general automotive repair skills
• Diagnostic, drivability, and electrical troubleshooting experience
• Ability to complete repairs independently
• Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
• ASE Certifications preferred but not required
