Key Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans as directed by licensed physical therapists, focusing on individualized care tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Prepare treatment areas by setting up necessary therapy equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.
  • Monitor patient progress throughout the rehabilitation process, offering feedback and communicating any changes or concerns to the therapy team.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting patients with exercises, mobility training, and other therapeutic activities.
  • Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, conducting patient intake, and managing patient records within EMR systems like WebPT.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding patient care and treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical interventions, and chronic pain conditions. You will assist individuals from diverse backgrounds, including athletes, seniors, and working professionals, all seeking to improve their physical function and quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient or orthopedic setting, demonstrating proficiency in patient care and therapeutic techniques.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
  • Certification or training in manual therapy techniques is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with diverse patient populations, demonstrating adaptability in addressing varying rehabilitation needs.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation equipment used in physical therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a collaborative healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
