Position Overview

Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center is on a mission to empower our patients in North Las Vegas, Nevada, to achieve their optimal health and recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. In this full-time position, you will collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans and support our patients in their rehabilitation process.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position where you will operate in a high-energy hospital facility that fosters teamwork and collaboration. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable work-life balance while making a significant impact on patient health. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists with administering treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and use of modalities tailored to each patient’s individual recovery needs.
  • Provide hands-on care, offering support during mobility training sessions, functional exercises, and activities of daily living to help patients regain independence.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, sharing these insights with supervising therapists to adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Educate patients on self-care techniques, proper use of assistive devices, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote long-term recovery.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all treatments, addressing and alleviating concerns to enhance their overall experience.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for patients.
  • Contribute to the daily operations of the clinic by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate openly with patients and their families to reinforce treatment goals, expectations, and progress, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your dedication to patient-centered care will be key in helping these individuals through their rehabilitation journey, as you facilitate their recovery and assist them in achieving their specific health objectives.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
  • Current or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Nevada.
  • Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, treatment modalities, and functional movement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • A proactive, compassionate approach to patient care, displaying empathy and patience while addressing their needs.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a treatment team, maintaining the highest standard of care under the supervision of Physical Therapists.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience as a PTA or related role beneficial, but new graduates are encouraged to apply; mentorship and training programs will be provided.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and documentation methods.
  • A background in treating diverse patient populations, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $90,000 , commensurate with experience.
