Position Overview
Joint Relief Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our exceptional healthcare team in Henderson, Nevada. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a hospital setting, contributing significantly to the rehabilitation journey of patients recovering from various orthopedic and musculoskeletal issues. Work Environment
This position is based in our therapy facility located within a prominent hospital in Henderson, Nevada. As a full-time PTA, you will benefit from a structured work schedule—Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM—allowing for work-life balance while delivering vital service to our community. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, which includes therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and mobility training to enhance recovery.
- Instruct patients in the proper execution of exercises and the safe use of therapeutic equipment, ensuring guidelines for safety and effectiveness are met.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary updates to supervising Physical Therapists, and contributing to clinical discussions to optimize care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions, managing any concerns that arise promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the broader clinical team to identify best practices that lead to improved patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies for enhancing recovery outside of clinical sessions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Each patient’s recovery plan will be uniquely structured based on their individual challenges and goals. Your role is crucial in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, promoting not only physical recovery but also enhancing their overall quality of life.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, providing a strong foundation in patient care and therapeutic methods.
- An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Nevada is required to practice.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient or clinical rehabilitation setting is preferred, enabling seamless integration into our team.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic exercise techniques and rehabilitation methods is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
