Hiring Immediately: Experienced Optics Fabrication Technician
Pay: $20-$24/hour
Multiple Shifts Available
Location: Boulder

Key Responsibilities
As an Optics Fabrication Technician, you will perform a variety of fabrication processes on moderately complex optical components, including:
Beveling
- Fabricate polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels
Blocking
- Pitch button applications
- Norland transfer processes
- Steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment
Grinding
- Steep radius grinding
- Cylinder grinding
- Tight wedge applications
- Continuous grinding operations
Polishing
- Spindle polishing
- CP polishing
- Double-side polishing
- CNC polishing
Slurry Maintenance
- Maintain and measure established Baume and pH levels
Additional Duties
- Pour, cut, and groove pitch laps
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
- Perform quality inspections and measurements using:
- Basic Zygo systems
- Fringe pattern analysis
- Microscopes and stereoscopes
- Surface quality inspection tools
- Fiber light equipment
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous optics fabrication experience required
- Strong blueprint and specification reading skills
- Experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment
- Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
