Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have 2-3 years experience in specialty. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, TIA, seizure, TBI, and mixed medical-telemetry cases. Common titratable or set-rate drips include heparin, amiodarone, and Cardizem; DKA is managed with a set rate or protocol. Telemetry uses GE Apex telemetry boxes with central telemetry monitoring. Respiratory support includes BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC; no ventilators are used.

Shift & Scheduling: Night shift time: 6:45-7:15. Schedules are made out about 3 weeks in advance; self-scheduling is by seniority, and shift trades are available. Night shifts require 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Friday/Saturday. Holiday work follows the permanent staff rotation. No call.

Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float to IMCU (2West) or Medical/Surgical departments.
