Position Overview
Thrive & Flourish Health Network is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role at our facility located in Mantua, New Jersey. In this position, you will play a critical role in enhancing the mobility and functional capabilities of our patients. Working collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will deliver high-quality rehabilitative care that ensures patients can achieve their personal health goals.

Work Environment
This position will be onsite at our hospital facility in Mantua, NJ, where a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach is taken to patient care. You will work alongside physical therapists, physicians, occupational therapists, and other health professionals in a supportive environment tailored to fostering teamwork and professional growth. Key Responsibilities
- Implement selected aspects of patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver interventions that facilitate mobility improvements.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and activities, providing detailed demonstrations and encouragement to ensure proper technique.
- Assess individual patient needs through thorough evaluations and demonstrate compassion, adapting treatment plans to meet diverse patient requirements.
- Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist to evaluate treatment efficacy and modify as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in accordance with organizational policies, contributing to a comprehensive medical record for ongoing patient care.
- Engage in community initiatives and collaborate with team members to promote patient wellness and prevention strategies.
- Stay informed about cutting-edge research in physical therapy to integrate new techniques and methodologies into patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant will involve working with diverse patients with varying degrees of mobility limitations, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, strokes, or managing chronic conditions like arthritis. You will adapt therapeutic exercises to meet unique needs, fostering independence and improving overall physical function.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or a related field.
- A valid physical therapy assistant license or relevant certification in New Jersey.
- Proven experience as a physical therapist assistant is preferred, demonstrating the ability to apply therapeutic practices proficiently.
- Knowledge of anatomy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise physiology.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and support patients through their rehabilitation processes.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
