Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2780 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of recent experience in MedSurg. Must be comfortable with a 1:5 ratio that could include total-care patients.

Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Unit Details: Primarily medical diagnoses, with less surgical care; common diagnoses include UTI, pleural effusions, altered mental status, hepatic encephalopathy, dehydration, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, and cellulitis. Heparin is the only titratable drip on the unit. The unit has telemetry capability and uses a Philips cardiac monitoring system. Patients on this unit do not have trachs or vents. CPAP may be used when it is part of a patient’s regular home routine, and stable BiPAP may be managed; rescue BiPAP requires a higher level of care. The unit does not support high-flow oxygen.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling is not available; travelers fill in where needed. Every other weekend; night-shift weekend rotation is Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff: 2 minor holidays and 1 major holiday. No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements: Floats to other Med/Surg/Telemetry units.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
