Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - General Med/Tele skillset: stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management, etc.), PCA pumps. - Medication gtt management to include: cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers are not preferred but will be considered.

Unit Details: - Travelers will most often be hired as Med/Tele RN to cover ED holds. - Trauma level 1 patients including GSW, stabbing, MVA, falls, stroke, heart failure, chest pain, patients requiring fluid resuscitation/blood products, COPD, Cardiac Cath pre, ETOH/CIWA, IVDA, mental health, respiratory illnesses, GI disorders and infections, liver failure, AKI/CKD. - RN ratio 1:5 max (acuity dependent). - Support within the department: CNA ratios vary; receptionist/HUC; charge nurse 24/7 may or may not have patients; phlebotomy for peripheral blood draws only; IV/VAT team; resource nurse as available; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; intensivist 24/7. - No monitoring tech; nurses read monitors and respond. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call for travelers. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays.

Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: - Will be required to float per region needs to Region 1 facilities as needed, within scope of practice. - Region 1: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH). - If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock for travel time between facilities.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
