Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong cardiac telemetry background required. Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Prior travel experience is not required for MS/Tele travelers.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: ED hold/telemetry assignment caring for patients from the ER who are waiting for an inpatient bed, primarily MS/Tele patients. More telemetry patients than medical patients. May assist with ED patients, including vital signs, IV starts, and medication administration, but will not be the primary RN for ED patient assignments. Common titratable drips include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. No monitor tech in the ED. ED PCTs available.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling; this may change from time to time. 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Holiday rotation with permanent staff. No call required.

Floating Requirements: First to float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC EDs as needed.
