Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist Assistant will be based onsite at our hospital facility in Watertown. You will work in a supportive atmosphere alongside other healthcare professionals. The center provides a team-oriented environment designed to optimize patient care and outcomes. Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for great work-life balance and opportunities to further your career in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans by participating in patient evaluations.
• Deliver hands-on therapy sessions, including but not limited to exercises, aquatic therapy, and modalities under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress in real-time to ensure adherence to treatment protocols and to make adjustments as necessary.
• Provide education to patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and home care activities to bolster recovery efforts.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy when appropriate to manage pain and improve functionality.
• Support initiatives aimed at promoting occupational health and enhancing patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• A valid and active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, essential for effective patient care.
• Proficiency in a variety of manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises tailored to individual patient needs.
• Ability to convey complex medical information in a compassionate and understandable manner to patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within an orthopedic clinic or similar rehabilitation setting.
• Background in using advanced therapeutic modalities and technologies.
• Prior experience in a multidisciplinary health team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
