Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist Assistant will be based onsite at our hospital facility in Watertown. You will work in a supportive atmosphere alongside other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans by participating in patient evaluations.
  • Deliver hands-on therapy sessions, including but not limited to exercises, aquatic therapy, and modalities under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress in real-time to ensure adherence to treatment protocols and to make adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and home care activities to bolster recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy when appropriate to manage pain and improve functionality.
  • Support initiatives aimed at promoting occupational health and enhancing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
