BodySync PT is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Albany, New York. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will perform a variety of crucial tasks, including:
- Administering direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, according to prescribed treatment plans.
- Documenting patient progress and submitting required records and reports in accordance with departmental policies and state regulations.
- Maintaining comprehensive progress notes and discharge summaries to track patient outcomes accurately.
- Responding to emergencies by following established procedures to enhance patient safety and care.
- Engaging in departmental quality improvement activities to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Participating in family conferences, providing updates and support concerning patient management and progress.
- Conducting ongoing education of patients about treatment and therapeutic exercises to foster better health outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The Physical Therapist Assistant will predominantly work with individuals undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. You will collaborate with a diverse patient demographic, from athletes seeking to regain peak performance to older adults looking to restore mobility and independence. Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of New York.
