Position Overview
Preferred Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our vibrant team located in Orlando, Florida. In this full-time position, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care alongside licensed Physical Therapists. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.

Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Orlando. You will work in a collaborative environment with a passionate team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The role requires a commitment to maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, focusing on improving patient mobility and function.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at promoting recovery and physical wellness.
- Educate patients on body mechanics and techniques conducive to recovery, as well as providing home exercise guidelines.
- Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
- Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure that necessary equipment and materials are organized and accessible for effective sessions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care and achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a supportive environment throughout their recovery journey.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights.

Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is between USD 50,000 and USD 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
