Key Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments, including manual exercises, therapeutic devices, and modalities such as ultrasound and hydrotherapy, to support patients’ rehabilitation goals.
  • Instruct patients in performing both therapeutic and daily-living activities, emphasizing proper technique and safety while using assistive devices like crutches and canes.
  • Evaluate the effects of treatments on patient progress through direct observation and documentation, making recommendations for modifications as needed.
  • Design comprehensive home exercise programs that empower patients to continue their rehabilitation outside the clinical environment, including educating families and caregivers on effective strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping in both patient and departmental files to maintain compliance and facilitate communication among healthcare providers.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality to protect patient information and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, peer networking, and participation in relevant professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
