Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2390 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Required skills include vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, nebs, a-line placement, assisting providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs.

Unit Details: The patient population is mostly geriatrics and adults, with some peds in the ED. Case load will vary depending on acuity; typical case load is 10-15 patients for general floor assignments and 6-8 patients for ICU assignments. Pyxis is used for medication dispensing. Unit-specific equipment includes AVEA vents, Servo U vents, LPU 1200 vents, Parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport.

Floating Requirements: Float to all units within the hospital.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation is every other weekend. No call. Holidays are assigned as needed. Up to 7 days off may be approved. Staff, including travelers, cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Overtime could be available, depending on needs.

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
