Job Title: Materials & Process Development Team Lead
Location: Rochester, New Hampshire
Schedule: On-site, M-F
Pay Range:$170,000 - $200,000
*Bonus package eligible

Our client, a leader in advanced composite manufacturing for aerospace and defense, is seeking a Materials & Process Development Team Lead to join their innovative team. As a Materials & Process Development Team Lead, you will be part of the Research and Technology department supporting engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Lead a team of engineers responsible for planning, organizing, and executing internal and customer-funded research and technology projects focused on fiber reinforced composites.
  • Oversee the development and improvement of composite manufacturing processes, including injection, infusion, and CMC processing techniques.
  • Support the introduction of new composite products, processes, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Manage procurement of tooling and equipment necessary for advanced composite manufacturing.
  • Coordinate material characterization activities through fabrication and testing of composite elements and sub-components.
What's Needed?
  • 7+ years of experience in composite engineering or a related field; advanced degrees can substitute for experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for polymer matrix composites.
  • Experience with aerospace materials and structures, especially injection and infusion methods.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) and project management tools.
