Gateway Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our enthusiastic rehabilitation team at our Victorville, California facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to meet the specific goals of each patient.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, guiding patients through their rehabilitation with empathy and professionalism.
  • Administer treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and cold/heat therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress meticulously, keeping documentation of treatment outcomes and communicating changes or concerns with the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics to enhance recovery and promote independence.
  • Maintain an organized treatment area and ensure that all equipment is properly sanitized and readily available for therapy sessions.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, establishing a positive rapport to motivate them throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires working with a broad spectrum of patients, ranging from children undergoing developmental rehabilitation to elderly individuals recovering from surgeries and mobility challenges. Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and a variety of therapeutic interventions relevant to physical therapy.
  • Experience in preparing and implementing treatment plans and modalities with oversight from licensed Physical Therapists.

Compensation and Benefits
