This position is based onsite in our hospital facility in Victorville, CA, where you will work directly with a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to meet the specific goals of each patient.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, guiding patients through their rehabilitation with empathy and professionalism.
• Administer treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and cold/heat therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, keeping documentation of treatment outcomes and communicating changes or concerns with the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics to enhance recovery and promote independence.
• Maintain an organized treatment area and ensure that all equipment is properly sanitized and readily available for therapy sessions.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, establishing a positive rapport to motivate them throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires working with a broad spectrum of patients, ranging from children undergoing developmental rehabilitation to elderly individuals recovering from surgeries and mobility challenges. You will be instrumental in tailoring your approach to accommodate diverse needs, ensuring that each patient feels heard and supported during their path to recovery. This position will challenge you to adapt techniques and communication styles to foster trust and cooperation among patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and a variety of therapeutic interventions relevant to physical therapy.
• Experience in preparing and implementing treatment plans and modalities with oversight from licensed Physical Therapists.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with patients and collaborate with healthcare colleagues effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
