Raytheon is seeking a successful candidate to perform duties concerning handling, moving, and storing materials from assisting with transport through oversight and maintenance of stored products. Operates heavy machinery for moving and storing materials and complies with safety rules and regulations.

Processes incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepares merchandise for shipping. Moves merchandise between operations. May operate forklift, crane, or other conveyance machinery. Maintains records of materials and merchandise. Check invoices and bills of lading. Performs scheduling of shop loading and physical control of in-process inventories. Expedites workflow and helps coordinate changes in schedules. Includes warehousing activities.

**This is a 2nd shift position, 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

What You Will Do:

  • Monitor kitting racks, drop zones, and hardware flow, including managing shortages, kits, and ensuring proper routing to assigned work cells.
  • Perform audits, including line flow and WIP audits, to verify material placement and identify aged material discrepancies.
  • Support material tracking via PRISM and Raytrak, submit SOS tickets for expedited items, and handle return-to-stock and discrepancy investigations.
  • Oversee logistics activities such as de-trashing, organizing kits, validating kit contents, and moving materials via carts or pallet jacks between areas or factories.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Applies semi-advanced skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.
  • Experience accomplishing daily work tasks with a minimal amount of supervision and moderate direction, with the ability to be proactive and drive action accordingly.
  • Relies on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Solves moderately complex problems.
  • Assists in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of technical/ business support employees.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working in SAP
  • Experience working with inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and environments
  • Course work, academic projects, or professional experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or any other Operations-related field
  • Experience presenting and communicating effectively, both written and verbal.
