About the Job

Acute Care Surgeon

The MedStar Health Baltimore Integrated Surgery Department is seeking board certified/board eligible general surgeons with excellent clinical skills, enthusiasm, and collaborative spirits to join our growing Acute Care Surgery team. Our vision is to become the premier clinical surgical program in the region, and the Acute Care Surgery team is helping us realize that goal.
Those who have completed acute care surgery and/or surgical critical care fellowships are preferred, but we strongly encourage applications from all general surgeons with a passion for emergency general surgery.

The current acute care surgeons are well regarded by all and are eager to add outstanding surgeons to our team!

What You'll Do

  • Surgeons on the ACS team have the opportunity to:
    • Treat patients acutely
    • Manage inpatient and follow-up care along with general surgery residents and advanced practice providers
    • Ensure they receive outstanding multidisciplinary care while taking home call
