Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2070 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience required. Experience with administering heparin, PCA, and epidural drips is required; chemotherapy experience is conditional on certification.

Preferred Skills/Experience: High-acuity care experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any past UPH employee who was an FTE or PRN in the UPH float pool cannot work travel in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. The separation policy does not apply if the person worked travel at UPH rather than as an FTE or PRN employee. Holiday RTO is limited to 1 day between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27 for all travelers.

Unit Details: Patient/surgery mix includes orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical cases.

Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend. No call. Travelers are required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Floating Requirements: The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
