MRM Health is looking for a Director, Resource Management. The primary responsibility of the Director, Resource Management is to identify and manage resourcing needs (particularly across creative departments) for all potential and assigned projects. This position requires that the individual be the liaison between Project Management and team leads across Account, Creative, Technology, Strategy, UX, Medical Editing, and Regulatory Operations as it relates to resourcing across all deliverables. The Director, Resource Management also works directly with Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition, and third-party staffing vendors to facilitate appropriate staffing on projects across the agency based on aggregate understanding of the project requirements. The Director, Resource Management must also ensure that project resourcing is managed to ensure timely delivery and must communicate to appropriate project managers resourcing issues that may impact scheduled deadlines.
In This Role, You Will:
Evaluate data in resource management tools to understand workload for full-time and freelance staff across all departments; partner with Project Management to identify and solve resource challenges to ensure all projects are properly staffed to meet client deadlines
Ensure balanced workload across teams by managing overall utilization, resolving issues regarding under or overallocation, and understanding when to leverage freelance and/or offshore support
Maintain visibility into current and upcoming project and business development activities to anticipate resourcing needs and implement adjustments to align with shifting priorities
Run weekly resource meetings and facilitate resourcing issues/conflict resolution with Project Management and appropriate department leads
Manage resourcing forecast reports for all departments based on input from weekly meetings.
Monitor team hours against project budgets and align resourcing decisions to financial goals
Work with department leads to identify appropriate resource requirements for each account and project based on skillset, experience, and project requirements
Receive, analyze, and report on weekly utilization reports to department leads
Identify need for freelance talent and work with Talent Acquisition and third-party staffing vendor to staff accordingly
Partner with third-party staffing vendor to manage freelance onboarding and offboarding process, contract extensions, and weekly payroll processing
Partner with Finance, IT, and HR to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant freelance administration and budgeting
Build and maintain a network of internal and external talent to support flexible resourcing needs
Recommend process improvements for Resource Management
What We Are Looking For:
8-10 years of project management or resource management experience in advertising agency; health agency a plus
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience working within a workflow operational tool, such as Workfront, a must
Proficiency in MS office applications including Microsoft excel
Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
Confidence in meeting with department leads to recommend resource solutions
Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
Good interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously
Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease
The salary range for this position is up to $115,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
$115,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
