Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Unit Details: Phillips telemetry with monitor tech support; RNs read and sign telemetry strips. Non-titrating drips include amiodarone, cardizem, and heparin. May see BiPAP/CPAP patients. High-acuity telemetry population including pneumonia, end-stage renal disease, post-cath lab patients, respiratory distress, CHF, and COPD. Primary nursing model with limited resources; techs may be pulled to sit and may not always be available. At St. John’s Pleasant Valley ACU, patient populations include post-surgical, orthopedic, and cardiac patients. At St. John’s Pleasant Valley ACU, ratios are 1:5 on med-surg and 1:4 on tele. At St. John’s Pleasant Valley, Phillips telemetry is used with monitor tech support; nurses read telemetry strips. At St. John’s Pleasant Valley, non-titrating drips include cardizem and amiodarone. At St. John’s Pleasant Valley, may see BiPAP/CPAP patients.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule for nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). One major and one minor holiday required.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Will float to 3 North or 2 South at St. John’s Regional and to St. John’s Pleasant Valley to work tele or med-surg only; may also float to the ER to take MS/Tele holds. At St. John’s Pleasant Valley ACU, floating is between tele and med-surg.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
